Dr Lervasen Pillay

Dr ‘Lee’ Pillay has been involved in Sports Medicine for over 18 years. He did his undergrad
medical degree at the University of Pretoria and his Sports Medicine Specialisation at the
University of Witwatersrand. His involvement is from a clinical, teaching and academic
perspective. He is involved in Football, Cricket, Athletics, Rugby. Apart from his sport medicine involvement, he also is an Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner consultant,
a certified AMA permanent impairment evaluator and the Chief Medical Officer for a
paramedic company who services hospitals and events. He has a special interest in long
term athletic development to ensure developing athletes are looked after properly from a
medical perspective to improve their chances of sporting success as they move through
their career.
