Kobus Wolvaardt

Kobus Wolvaardt graduated at the University of Pretoria in 2004 with an honours degree in Computer Engineering. In 2004 he started working for CSIR Meraka to do language recognition studies. Between 2005 and 2006 he worked at Kreon Technologies toward the development of embedded systems. From 2007 to 2009 he worked as the embedded systems team leader for Amino Communications in the UK.

In 2009 he returned to South Africa and started Quant Engineering Solutions, being the head of new product development and technology. In this capacity and in support of the family business, he started developing the GoodX Switch and later GoodX Web.

GoodX Software was founded in 1985 by his mother, Dr Dirkie Wolvaardt, and Kobus Wolvaardt became CEO in 2015. He managed both companies, resulting in the immense business growth with the online GoodX platforms, namely GoodX Web, myGC, grandXchange and the GoodX Switch.

Kobus believes doctors should focus on their patients’ wellbeing and that the GoodX systems should help make the doctor and patients’ lives easier.
